    Hi brother,

If your server disks are new with no data (need backup your data first if you have some important data in your hard drives),

you can boot up the ubuntu boot cd-disk and create the partition with the built-in fdisk/partition tools.

    It is free at:

    http://www.ubuntu.com/

    Hope a little help.
    For your reference only.

Maybe try use the ubuntu boot disk's partition tools,
try whether it is possible to add/detect the /dev/sdx slice.

What linux/clone is your server os?

Your os should bundle with some fdisk or similar partition tools?

About Ubuntu, its boot disk is our army tool for partition issue.

It can create many partition types eg ufs,win32, ntfs etc.

    Suggest you can try it.

Memo: Kind donation is welcome but not necessay. :)

    Forget to say,

    Two versions for ubuntu os.

Ubuntu workstation version is using graphical interface,

Another one is the server version of command line (more security).

Maybe choose workstation version for easier usage.

    Hope a little help. :)

    Good lucks.
