Motorcycle related websites

I have a lot of motorcycle related websites that I own and some that I manage for others. Most of these are PR1-4 and have thousands of hits a month (some as much as 170,000).

I have been selling year long banner adverts to big companies but they are now demanding to much such as advertising on my forums or they pull out even though I said at the start, my forums are advert free.

Coming up to renewal time and I really do need to raise cash on these sites as they are mainly clubs and organisations so not for profit and the advertising pays for the upkeep, hosting, domain names etc.

So my question here is whats my best option? Hold out for big companies to pay up or start selling small link opportunities to related sites?

The traffic to my sites is fantastic. Some have 1000UV the first month live due to the community of bikers so opportunities are there.

Would it be worth selling small text or banner links for less money but sell a few rather than the odd one making a lot of money?

Just been going through my mind a lot. I dont do affiliation as it doesnt pay fair and google ads are just ugly although I have made a few quid on them recently on one busy website.

Anyway, if anyone wants to advise I would appreciate it.

    Jason.

Why don't you use CPA ads?
You can as much as $5/CPA done by your visitor.
