I have a bad motherboard and looking to replace it does it have to be the same one to prevent loss of data on the hard drives. I have Gigabyte GA MA790X-DS4 ATX Motherboard AMD Socket AM2 cant find oneof these for love of money. Can a get a like for like one made by Gigabyte and would I loss the data. data is on two drive stripped I think. S
Better save your data to another storage device before changing your Motherboard. You can go for ASUS or INTEL depending upon your choice. - Mr.President -
Are you sure it is a motherboard issue? I have replaced maybe 6 motherboards this entire year, almost always you just need to reseat the RAM or have bad sectors in your hard drive (Which could possibly be a cause of data loss).
