Well, I've legally purchased a few lottery tickets and I managed to win $4 off one of them that cost $2. I about broke even overall. I've come to find that the $1 lottery tickets are a waste of time. $2 lottery tickets have higher success rates. I haven't tried the $10 lottery tickets yet. The prizes look like they would be very nice, though
I won $50 off of a $10 ticket one time. I rarely purchase tickets as I almost never carry cash on me (partially for that reason).
Congrats. You must pay in cash? I thought that was a rule, but didn't know if it was sure or not. I usually only carry a debit card so I'm usually safe
If you're talking about scratchoffs, the most I've won at any one time was $300.. If you mean daily numbers, I've won $13,000+ once and $2800 several times while living in NY state. Here in Missouri, the most I've gotten has been $50 on a scratchoff and $7 on Powerball a few times.
Thanks, and same here. For me, carrying cash except for a few small bills is a huge mistake because I will spend it!
dgridley - how'd you get that much in a day?! What'd you play? Nice to see someone from Missouri. Hope you have better luck here in the future. unk0wnPlayer- same here. It usually goes to soft drinks though. Now it's lottery tickets I guess
Playing the daily Win Four numbers in NY state.. if you bet (at the time, this was a few years ago) 50 cents straight and 50 cents boxed on a 4 digit number and it came in straight, it paid $2600. I always played the same numbers every day til they hit.. the $13,000 was playing a multiple amount of the same number.
When I was like 12 or so I bought some cute girl a few lottery tickets ( we were near a lottery tickets shop and she asked me to buy her some) .. and, well, i got nothing, so since then I don't buy lottery tickets to pretty girls any more
yes... actually from the 4 tickets I bought her (they were cheap) she won the money for another ticket.. so she obviously bought another one, and guess what, no win this time
That's why you ALWAYS take the money and run! I do it every time! $4 isn't much, but its double my investment, and it's better to know when you are ahead and should quit
you are beting against the chances though, you can't win, math always does so It's just for fun, I don't believe in lotteries, Santa Claus and Matt Cutts
Oh man! Sad to hear it. I couldn't imagine spending that much money. It'd be reinvested much quicker if that would've been me I'm sure anyone would get a little careless with $20,000 though!
