Excellent plugin is the tiger admin interface!

I'm still having problems with adsense plugin though - installed it fine, but Google doesn't seem to be showing content related ads - but in fact public service notices, if you visit my blog travel-rants.com can you see any reason why it shouldn't show the correct ads?

I looked at your travel forum, and other than the banner at screen bottom, don't see any ads.

Damnit wwh, I can't give you any more rep :D

You'll have to do with praise for the last link provided... now I start feeling like a guy who just bought a car/computer/technical-item and got completely overwhelmed by the salesman talks about all the extra must-have features.

Now I'm spending the day installing and testing features I never knew I needed :p

    No problem! :)

Has anyone used the Google sitemap for your blog? Excellent!

I also downloaded the new contact form, where you can add extra fields to the form! Also excellent!

Yes - it is great. I put it up right away, and the next morning my webhost had closed my website down  Why you ask... Well, As it turns out, you can make a sitemap.xml.gz file, and this format was not allowed on my host (it's a free host of an otherwise very high quality, but I know I should be moving to my own server... *blahblah-don't-have-the-time-damnit*)

Sound like the one plugin I missed :D Will get that one right away... as soon as my website is reopened

Yes, our blog has been indexed. We are currently using phpsitemap from http://enarion.net/google/ to generate the xml file. Works wonderfully.

I suppose you (wwhhomes) use this contact form for the blog, or...?

I tried the CG-Inbetween plugin and I have to say that it is clearly the smartest little thing I've come across.

I love phpGiggle - it replaces text you define with links. It also serves as a stand alone script, but it came with a very easy plugin. So everytime I type TubaNews it makes it a hyperlink to the site - so cool. I think this could be used well in moderation but I'm not a fan of overusage.

    Miko, it's called intouch.

    http://adahas.com/work/intouch/

Basically, you create the form how you want it, i.e. add fields to it. Have a look at the submit article link in my signature.. that is using the intouch pluging. Basically people can now submit articles via the form, it's then uploaded when reviewed to the blog.

Anybody know if there is a wordpress plugin that lets you hide posts from the main page, and maybe have like a hidden catagory or something? So people could only access the posts if they new the URL for them.

Maybe http://www.semiologic.com/projects/opt-in-front/ is what you are looking for? You can select just the posts you want to appear on the main page.

Yeah, thats about half of what I need. I probably will be able to make the rest myself. Basically I want to have a catagory that has posts that I don't want vieable, unless the person types in a url such as www.thejosher.com/mysecretcatagory/ -- basically like having another blog, but using the same wordpress install.

Not sure if it was mentioned before but Spam Karma 2 is AWESOME. I've had it installed for just over 24 hours and it's caught so much spam and I haven't had to deal with it!!!!

Dreamshop, how did you get only part of a post to show up on the index page? I'm looking for that functionality.
