[MOST URGENT] Debit card ERROR!

Hi,

I have a debit card.. Number and all i enter it right.. Also the billing address. Still this error occurs:

Your credit or debit card has been declined for this transaction; PayPal could not validate the card. Please verify that the information you entered is correct, or try a different credit or debit card.

What the hell? Please could anyone help?

 

I got a very similar error (and still do, but last time I checked was probably beginning of this year) whilst trying to use my debit card with PayPal.
If it makes any difference, I'm using HSBC.

 

Best of my knowledge Paypal do not support Debit Card.
It always accept Credit Card, but you can add your bank account
to your paypal account. if you add your credit card to paypal there is some fee will be charged and after verifying you will get back that credit into your paypal account.
aND THE VERIFICATION CODE WILL BE SENT TO your Credit card statement..
i have also tried many times but every times decliend. The Debit cards which i have tried are :

Icici Bank
HDFC
ABN AMRO
AXIS BANK
Kotak Mahindra
SBI
ING Vysya Bank

None of them work for me..
So i verified with icici bank credit card..

erm well the guy above me is wrong...they do accept debit 'cause my friends is set up with it...
And also, at one point my account was set up with debit too (I removed the card from my PayPal then re-added...it was after that it stopped working so might be the case?)

But I just use the bank account that it's linked up to, and it works fine.

 

hi dont know how your debit card works but i am from india and i tried many debit cards but none of them worked...

May be i am wrong but chances is 1% only

I use a debit card with my PayPal.

 

from which country are you operating the paypal account???? I think I can resolve your problem.

 

Paypal accept the debit cards which have visa and master card logo.
SBI international master card logo debit card and UTI bank's master card logo internationall debit card can be used to verify paypal

It accepted and works.
But to get your expuse number , you need to go to branch and ask the branch manager about , international offshore elctronic transiction statement.
There you got the expuse number.
Enter it and go verified.

I have the same problem.
I Use Corp Debit Card and also it has visa logo on it.

 

You must have a Mastercard/Visa logo on your debit card, some banks simply do not work well with PayPal also.

 

If you debit card contains FOR ELECTRONIC USE ONLY written on the front of your debit card, you cannot use it online as online transaction are blocked for such cards. For online transaction better go for a credit cards.

 

I suggest you to use VCC. or HDFC net safe cards , you can fund your net safe using your debit card and get a vcc number easily and verify your account plus spend online as well .

icici also gives you vcc ( b2.icicibank.com )
