Most spammers spamming my forum are Russians

Sounds like I'm a racist but not.

I'm tired cleaning and moderating my forum everyday. Though I already set all incoming members to moderation, still I am getting around 50 registrations daily with .ru email domain extension.

Any suggestion how to block them from registering my forum?

    Thanks

Block their IPs in your .htaccess file. Add something like the following line:
    deny from 81.177.8.0/23
    Code (markup):
This blocks all IPs in between 81.177.8.0 and 81.177.9.255. This might not include all of Russia... but it included those I needed to block yesterday ;)

WHy dont you do this in registrations go ahead with some Captha programs and then see what happens .

I've had the very same problem with my Dodge Caliber forum. I've been extremely successful in preventing spam by installing NoSpam! onto my forums. I find even better success if I use non mathematic questions and answers.

Also EZ Bounce E-mail is good for routing out accounts with bouncing e-mail addresses.

Advance Permissions based on post count is a good way to keep registrations that are manually submitted from spamming links and images.

With these 3 products I have virtually eliminated the spam targeting my site.
