Most SEO friendly?

I'm thinking of starting some kind of website/blog and try to get as high as possible in Google.

I've got some experience in using Wordpress but I might aswell try something different. I was wondering if Wordpress is the best way to build a SEO-friendly website or are there better ways to do so?

I'm not planning to update the website/blog daily because mostly it is an website with information about something. I've read articles in which people said starting a blog is best when your planning to update it daily, if not should I go for a website instead of a blog?

yuo dont have to update daily if you have a blog. there are pelnty of blogs that update once in every few days and are ranked pretty well. try to make couple of posts per week and you will be fine. you needs to start with atleast few posts to begin with

Yes I know, but the thing is I can't write forever about this subject. The main purpose of the website is for information. After my website/blog is filled with good quality post I might post new articles only once a month or so.

I think in your case a website would probably be best. Don't forget your website can have a blog on it that you don't have to update as often if there is a good source of information behind it.

There is nothing wrong with Wordpress, I don't have much experience with it, but if you know what you are doing with it, probably best to stick with it. Then look through this forum to find out all the best tips on how to do SEo on your site. Obviously the most important thing is a good topic for your site though! :)

Ok, but when I start a website I guess I shouldn't use Wordpress. What's the best 'Wordpress-like' alternative for making websites? Or is it ok to use Wordpress for a website instead of a blog?

If I were you - I would do little bit more work and if make the URLs with .html URL extension.

I know many SEO experts don't believe in it - but I have seen practical experience.

There was a time when v7n forum was not having great SERPs despite having all qualities and John Scott doing many things for it.

Finally he installed vbSEO and it took just few months for it to rock SERPs.

wordpress is a good starting point as well as blog. A blog also keep you motivated to write daily :)

As far as SEO is concerned, wordpress is as good as anything can get (with few modules), so don't think much and just do it!

Wordpress is indeed a good platform and had many SEO friendly elements built-in (you should install all in on seo pack as well). Updating regularly would be better for your site.

As some of the others have said, I think you can still use Wordpress as a website-platform should you wish too!

Through blog you can promote your business and information. But blog can be banned by the owner at any time. I have made blog on the blogger and word press but after few months both are been banned. So if you can build a site to promote your business or information is the best way I think.
