Most self overrated US sports city

    I have had business dealings with Boston sports media and they all seem to mention that "Boston is the best sports city". I suppose they deal primarily with Boston so that statement wouldn't bother clients but it bugs me from by Detroit and southern California perspective. They seem to forget their hockey and baseball teams have recently completed some of the longest droughts in their respective leagues. Their football team has been good for a number of years (thanks to a quarter back from southern California by way of Michigan) and their basketball team has great history but only one championship in the last 27 years. And when it comes to collegiate athletics, you usually have to go over 800 miles to find a top 25 football team and basketball is not much better.

    So is there any other US city that overrates its sports more than Boston?
