With e-commerce you can be profitable in 2 months. You need to find your niche. A good product. A good marketing plan. If you know how to drive traffic, just convert this into sales!

    Good luck!

I would personally go with a CPA website. Find a nice cpa program (or multiple), build a site around it, and then casually promote it. CPA programs usually have a high pay out, so if you were going to try something thats what I would try.

I don't understand why people think sticking with short term projects is not a good idea.

First of all, which I doubt anyone has any objection to, they are a great way to make a quick buck to fund future longer term projects. But in addition, they can be a longterm business model in themselves.

My mantra lately has been "make, promote, sell." If you do this with "cheap" short-term sites, you will be able to make a lot of money in a short period of time, but you don't have to worry about each site dying out because you only hold onto it for a short period before you sell. The idea is that you're in the business of SELLING websites, not actually RUNNING them. That's up to the buyer.

So sure, some sites such as proxies are very short term in terms of running them, but you can build a fairly sustainable long term model around the idea of promoting them for a short while then selling them.
