    Here's a simple plan, since you know PHP. Design a plug-in for a popular PHP application like Wordpress, either improving on what's there or, better yet developing something new and better. Code a backlink to your brand new site into the plugin, you will get lots of traffic from the links and the SEO boost.
    Ads on the page, or a paid version with premium features, especially for e-commerce related plug-ins, can turn this traffic into revenue.
