    Depends on the niche, social websites are great traffic generators but if you find relevant sites in your market that allow some sort of advertising, syndication, bookmarking, etc you will see much a high increase in traffic and sales.

    For me most traffic go from google, then Yahoo ( less but have very good conversion ) Recently I start working with forums so now I have good amount traffic from forums too.

    I'm new and was told about Budurl to track my traffic. Very important and then you will know where you are getting your traffic. I got 7 people today to visit my site from trafficSwarm .com and it is good to know based on my Budurl .com account. Just put the website you want the traffic to go to inside of Budurl and then click shrink it. Get a free account to start and track your results.
