I had never once said good content isn't important, I do think it is a part of the package. Where as you had dismissed all backlinking techniques

I am still trying to grasp by your logic, how can I target a medium competitive keyword without doing any backlinking at all. Let said based on the keyword "Weight loss". Am I able to solely created quality content and then let it take it course?

Well I do know link bait is unless you have different and more insightful interpretation of the term..

 

I don't neglect link building completly, but I don't prefer directory submissions, blog commenting, social spam media sites and spam forums. These techniques are actually bombarded with links. Too many links and it will give you too little value and yes I follow my own few link building ways like Articles distribution only few high PR websites and through communities by becoming a valuable member. I also use Press Releases and Link Bait thats what I try most. If I get 3 or 4 natural links, it will bring my post good in SERPs.
