    The poll asks for 'Most Popular' but somehow from the responses, I get the impression it should say 'Most Influential' in which case, 'Beatles' by a merry mile. If it's a popularity contest based on record sales, I'd guess 'The Rolling Stones'.

    Now lets also remember what Gene Simmons said, "KISS is not a rock n roll band, its a rock n roll brand. There are no U2 condoms, so if you want those you'll come to KISS"

    Now the beatles got popular because they had good music, so they sold many records. KISS was average musically, so couldn't sell a lot of records but STILL got famous. If we go to some third world country, most of those won't even know what The Beatles mean, but they would tell you about the 'KISS T-Shirt' or 'KISS night lamp' they bought from the mall last night.

    BUT who cares, as long as i am not in one of those bands :p

    You can call them the most biggest ACTIVE band in the world.

    First thing first, they're not rock. Secondly, since they did a come back they stink!!
