I was wondering on what is the best extension for SEO. I was hinting for : .php .html .asp .some custom word (like .g that google uses) Do these determine SERP? Pour out your thoughts.
In terms of SEO, .html is the best version. It is easier to do the SEO for static (.html) pages than dynamic pages
I was thinking the same but did you ever have experience on using a custom extension like .g that google uses.. I am planning to use my name as custom extension for my blog...

I never said that it will help in SEO.. I am planning to use that only to get some uniqueness to my personal blog. Even u can achieve it easily using .htaccess. I dont think that would affect your SEO so much..

As said above .. probably .html is best.. but i feel that google does not bias any specific extension.. Just we never seem to find custom extensions.. they are very rare.. Does not matter at all. The only time it would hurt you is if you had your entire website created with flash, which the Google bots can't "read."
