60 - 90% across all sites, that's why Google SERP's are so important ... I get most traffic on my highest ranking sites.

SEs are your sure bet. Free, large volume and consistent. But you need to freshen up content, get more quality backlinks and keep up to date with the latest SEO practices.

What do you mean by word of mouth? If you mean direct type ins and from links on other sites then you can call it word of mouth. if so, then well done because some sites just do not get muh traffic from world of mouth, possibly because of the way the site is. Good blogs, updated regularly tend to be less reliant on search engines.

Refralls from a mixure of sources is good because that way the risk is more diversified.

I use statcounter in combination with Reinvigorate. They are two free online applications that allow you to see where your visitors are coming from and what they are doing in your website (which pages are more popular, how long do they stay on the site, etc). There is also some other useful information like the visitor's country, what browser he was using, and if he has ever been on your site before (return visitor). You only have to sign up and place a short script (they provide the code) throughout your site. This is extremely easy if you are using a CMS or WordPress, because you only have to add the code on one page.
