Matt - why are you doing this? I'll say it plainly. Gtech and I disagree on most things politically. But I know his military history. He was an honorable soldier who did more out of belief for his country than a good many wastrels claiming to do the same. I respect him for what he did. Your saying things like "grandpappy," here, and elsewhere - did you have a point to this beyond a personal insult? If you're grandfather served, do you wish to insult his name? My father served - with yours, or your grandfather, I would hazard a guess. I believe you do them all dishonor by this snide slant.
