Well, i give pricing quote after seeing the keyword and url. I see the competition and the root authority of the website. I calculate no of days google will take to rank it for the specific keyword and then present it to my clients. If the website is already in top 50, i ask for the payment after i make some changes in his/her websites. I make sure i use social bookmarking every 3 days, i make sure i do article backlinks and press release and ping them. I do link diversity to increase the authority network of the website.
