I enjoyed reading the Alchemist. After reading the book, I realized I haven't been living a meaningful life. Since it is a fairly easy read, I decided to read it again and take breaks and reflect on how I can change my life to make it more meaningful, not only for myself but for others. I highly recommend this book!!
I totally agree with Andrea Lily! The Alchemist taught me the importance of finding my personal legend. It is a read I recommend to everyone!
I am inspired by fiction books. My favourite ones are To kill a Mockingbird and War and Peace. I enjoyed reading the Carnegie book about winning friends, but I dont think it was useful.
Unbroken, the book of course has a lot more to offer than the movie ever could. This book is captivating one from start to finish. If you like to read about peoples' trials and how they are eventually over come then this book is for you.
I'm reading Into the Wild right now and it's really made me want to go outside and start hiking and explore the nature around me more.
I would recommend the following titles to ANYONE who is going through a quarter-life crisis or an identity crisis in general. They helped me restart my life from a lot of points of view: - "Man's search for meaning" Viktor Frankl - "When Nietzsche Wept" Irvin Yalom - "Essentialism: the disciplined pursuit of less" Greg McKeown - "Originals" Adam Grant I've got a lot of books in my to-read list on Goodreads, but there's so little time to go through all the great books ever written, unfortunately.
The Art of War by Sun Tzu, is an ancient Chinese military treatise dating from the Spring and Autumn period in 5th century BC.
"The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne. This is the best self development book, i have ever read! https://www.google.co.in/search?q=the+secret
In my opinion, Think and Grow rich & Stephen R. Covey's Book 7 Habits of Highly effective people are the two books which are very Inspirational.
Was inspired by the Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. Two chapters, couldn't stop reading for a second. Read over the night..
