Most impressions in one day EVER. One problem though...

At the time of posting, my adsense impressions were at 2,547. I have 5 clicks.

That's one thing that pisses me off. The second thing is that I only made $0.14 from it. I've had better money from a day with 200 impressions...

Consolidations to me on my horrible adsense day?

 

Maybe your ads aren't blended/placed well.

 

Hmm... Could you do a review of their placement on my site? You think I need to blend them into the posts? Please give me some examples of where the current ads should be in respect to the layout. :|

You should blend your ads in more. don't use a border and better to use a square in your posting in a floating div:

Maybe a lot of your traffic is bad and Google is discarding clicks left and right.

 

Which sites did you get that amount of impressions? Blend your ads better.

 

I tweaked my theme a bit - removed the side and top bar ad. I now have three ads underneath the content of the first three posts. Please tell me how I've done with it. Should I put a small image next to them (with a border)?

Also, since I set it to attach the adsense code to EVERY post, is it still okay? Google is limiting the number of blocks to three - and that's exactly what I want them to do - but will it still affect me if I have the code more than three times? There's no other way for me to put adsense code inside the first three posts.

 

hmmm thats a really poor clicking avarage ...i get abouth 5 times more impressions then you but 100 times more clicks.
Try to get some bether blending.

Beware that if your pageviews and clicks get like 10 times your average overnight, Google might have a problem with that and discard some clicks, or even worse.

Also what is the source of impresions, not bought traffic or myspace?

 

Put the ads directly next to your content, you'll do far better that way.

 

Digg, this forum & another which I'm a veteran of.

I've never bought traffic or used myspace.

I also recieved a lot of Iranian traffic to my proxy in the last two weeks, but that didn't drive last night's spike.

I usually get around 300-500 a day.

 

From my experience digg traffic converts poorly.

PS: Don't be offended by the myspace question. If you watched this forum lately seems that myspace is causing most of the traffic spikes and most of the banned by no reason threads.

 

Not offended at all - plus I'm aware of the digg/webmaster click ratio - we've all got adblock!

I might have to find somewhere less computer literative people lurk. :|
