Wow. Thanks for sharing the info I am sure a lot of ppl here can benefit from this post, that includes me. Rep added!
Thanks a lot for the positive contribution bud@ hmansfield. Btw already mentioned what would seth do.
With all the hacking going on all around us, wp-security is a must! Also will like to add the wordpress favicon manager which adds a favicon easily from the dashboard to all pages of your site without any fuss
I don't know if it has been mentioned but even though someone else has taken over the support and maintenance of the All In One SEO Plugin after Uberdose stopped supporting it, I switched to the Platinum SEO Plugin. It has more features and it will automatically import any settings that you had set up with the All In One SEO plugin.
This list of plugins is great. Some I had never even heard of. What about Socialze Me plugin? Anybody tried it? I wonder if it really works.
Actually it was mentioned by someone else in the forum.... I have not actually included the usual plugins like AIOSEO or Sitemap.... lol... those are obvious plugins which you should use and everybody is aware of them.... but these are the "not so general" plugins which you should use
@godsofchaos tnx for commenting about MY BLOG @hmansfield tnx for this post of yoursim gonna try it.i didnt see how it looks like though
My absolute only complaint about this thread is from my laziness of having to go search the plugin directory instead of having direct links for the 2 that I didn't know about which I plan on trying out! Seriously though good thread, I love the compilation threads with a slew of information as there is always something new out there to learn. Thanks for the post!
i was kinda lazy with this thread, I agree. Lol. Hence I published a post in my blog related to this thread's title where I kept the links clickable you can check it out here: http://www.nyn9.com/wordpress/wp-pl...-the-usuals-underrated-plugins-the-beginning/
Great post . U r right . . . most people just do a list of usual wordpress plugns which is boring because everyone knows bout them already.
Life without HyperCache will be a serious problem, hyper cache sure is much much easier to implement. Plus it saves you mysql queries, 99% of it!
very good info. Thanks. you might hotlinked the plugins page while posting your thread. so people will download the respective plugins if they are interested.
You are most welcome, and please feel free to add your entry if you feel that there is an unusually good plugin being missed. The latest plugin to use is Wp-CMS which turns your blog into a full featured CMS. Highly functional features with a very easy to maintain backend admin interface
