What are the most important things for you to have in hosting? And more so what would you love for a host to have. The best comment will get a free hosting account from our new datacenter

    Superfast support...I need a reply within 30 minutes :D.

Of course good servers are important.

Price and payment options are secondary..I don't mind paying a slightly higher price for a good service.

    1) Uptime - it doesn't matter to my customers if my website is down because the host has problems. If my site is down, it reflects poorly on my website and on me. A guarantee of uptime still impresses me although most only refund the percentage of time down... Now, if you can SHOW me your current and previous reliability, that is even better - show me 'Five Nines' (99.999% uptime - not counting SCHEDULED maintenance) and I will really sit up and take notice!

    2) Multiple domain support - A few years ago, allowing only one domain for each account was enough for most... not anymore. Many of us own several to many sites. Allowing them to be hosted in the same account provides us one-stop-shopping and one-stop-control of our sites.

    3) Good package - Bandwidth is important to me, Hard drive space more important to others, good control panel, included stats... the more options, the better.

    4) Speed/power of the servers - Multiple/redundant 'pipes', robust servers, Unix based (sorry, I don't think I will ever use another windows based server again), generator or UPS power for datacenter is always a plus as well.

    5) Upgradability on the fly - Ok, I am in your 'mini' package and am only 1/2 through the month and I calculate that I am going to 'bust' the bandwidth and need to upgrade. Allow me to upgrade this month so I can take advantage of the higher bandwidth of the higher package and not get penalized for exceeding the one I am in.

    6) Support - something I don't use very often, but when I do need it, I expect them to be reachable. Ok, if you don't have 24/7 office hours, at least give an email address that you will monitor on the weekends.

    7) Price - not quite as important as the rest. I am always willing to pay a bit more when I get more. Payment options are appreciated though - CC, PayPal...

I think that is a good list to start with... ;)

Good luck with your new center,
    Matt

QUICK & ACCURATE support - not some poorly paid technicians that dont quite get what you meant and always have unrelated responses.

    Minimal downtime

Lots of installed server components to play with HTTP Sockets, DNS lookup, PING etc etc (especially as there are so many free ones)

    NO hidden charges!

Unlimited domains and bandwidth are nice

    No blacklisted servers.

i have proxy site's network so telling you in respect of that only

    SPEED

the only thing that matters to me
if you have a good server with great speed everythign else like bandwidth and uptime and other things can be sorted out later on with a littile extra bucks or something

but speed is the foremost thing that will bring back the visitors
