Most Famous SEO tips

    • The title tag is the most powerful SEO trick, but it must be used creatively. You should only place one thing in the title tag and that is the exact keyword you used for the web page that you are trying to optimize.

    • One of the most famous SEO trick is link popularity. It is because of the fact that most search engines don't consider web sites that do not have links pointing to the web site. So, it is really important to link to other resources that are related to your website's niche. This will increase traffic, provide good ranking and add value to your website.

    • It is very important to use a different title on each web page with its own primary keywords at the beginning of the page title.

    • Always remember, keyword density is very important in SEO and should be properly researched. The keywords should be used once in the title tag, heading tag, and in the body text while keeping the keyword density between 5% to 20%

    • Another important SEO trick is to get your keywords in much of the anchor text in both internal and external links.

    • It is wise to build a website that is rich in theme because search engines are now more interested in the themes.

    • You should build content related to your niche with around 250 words per page because the speed of your web page is very important to your visitors and the search engines.

    • Always remember to add fresh and unique content on regular basis which attracts the visitor to come back to your website.

    • Don't forget to add a site map. It will help structure your site for spiders.

    • Submitting articles with links to your web site to directories is yet another famous SEO trick that can really boost the amount of traffic you generate while also giving click through traffic, too.

    • Also, don't forget to submit articles with your web site link to the publishers. Do not hope that they will pick your article up from a directory. It is better to submit directly to the publishers themselves.

    • Another SEO trick is to seek forums related to your niche, join them and advertise your web site there.

    • And, last but not the least. Another famous SEO trick is to submit your web site to the directories "including" the PR0 directories.

20% keyworddensity is far too much!

And I do not realy understand why more than 250 words make a page slow...

Nice tips thanks! Only the restriction for 250 words is not fully correct. The text is not a problem. But be careful with big images(for size) and flash animations.

Well being an SEO post, wouldn't giving a LINK to the original make sense?

Besides, most of these ahem... 'tricks' sound like 2005 or something..

MOST powerful? Exact KW? There has been much testing and while important, not likely a huge factor (handy for links mostly) and the 'exact KW' approach is kinda NOT... testing over the last while shows a longer one will perform as well... Page titles ARE important, just not really as outlined here. Most often it is because when peeps link to a page... they use the Title... which then gets one targeted links with that in it.... ya know?

What is this? 98? We know about links... and this doesn't really touch on the value... of historical elements.. link text... yada yada

yeaaaaaghhhhh..... now we're really in the blast from the past world... In case folks hadn't noticed, 2 & 3 word phrases make up the majority, while 1 word (keyword) searches decline each year. The longer tail means we need to be looking at phrasings.... ( search phrase based optimization). Sooooo.... themes are important and search engines look at phrase ratios and relationships... KW density will not tell U much in modern SEO... just a fact of life....

This isn't entirely accurate although it may seem so. See about phrase related (semantic) concepts which establish what can be called a theme, but that's really not how probabilistic concept modeling works. Sure, nodal categorizations could be considered themes, but that's not really at the ranking end... more basic retrieval stuff that many search engines look at.

Not at all... NONE of the major engines are currently using code/load times as a serious signal... this is more on the PPC side of things. It will have NO EFFECT on organic ranking processes.

Nope - it aids in DISCOVERY for search engines... a search engine see's pages it's not interested in YOUR structure - your site map merely enables discovery.. other factors are involved in indexation and ranking mechanisms.

FAMOUS SEO TRICK? .... come on...

    Circa 2005?
Circa 2005? And really... it's all about quality over quantity.. filling a link profile with uber amounts of crappy directories is a TOTAL waste of time and $$$....

... so, to me this article you've posted has been around a while (I hope) and much of the information is simply wrong... and at least, incomplete. I'd rather see a post with links to quality articles on SEO than one such as this....

I know you're likely trying to help, we just see sooooo many 'copy and paste' posts on forums from peeps looking to get a post count up and get sig links....

Next time, get better content at least .... this kind of stuff is why guys like me still get work in SEO... poor education means poor results... which means businesses come to me eventually - he he.... I also dislike the use of 'Famous SEO Trick' it's simply misleading...

Site structure and source code in the web pages are really important for google to index your site as well, you can get rid of the source code which lead to unable to index your content. If possible, you may change from table structure to be used CSS instead that would make your page faster and easy for google index as well.

For me SEO is just common sense. There are no fix theory. Just a lot of patience and time in the process.

Yup.... found that yesterday and even looked at the author bio... couldn't find a link to his main site.. which is strange, so I left it at that ;0)

Sadly this thread is now ranking #1 for 'famous seo tips' http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Famous+SEO+tips&btnG=Search

Nice work Google... so much for Matts and his 'first discovered' attribution of original content huh?
