I have an online jewelry store, it's been online for about a year now. I have bought several link packages from link builders which included either blog comments or article submissions to various sites. None of these really made any difference on the long-term SEO aspect. I have money to invest in SEO, but I don't want to go to a professional company as they overcharge you. I would like to know if anyone can give me some advice on where to buy and what should I buy in regards to what actually works for long term SEO. My site has many items, and I have a blog as well for some extra content (around 30-40 articles in it). Thanks,
Well..first don't by link again if I was you..next you should be ready to working with an mentor like myself if your interested..and we can come up with an game plan on how to tackle your website..since its in the jewelry niche then it should be easy to market. You need to do all off page activities to get good results and these will be also long term. Off page activities 1-Social Book marking 2- Social media optimization 3- Create new blog for your business 4- blog commenting 5- articles submission 6- forum posting
Start with keyword research. Build links to your main site using your main keywords in anchor. If your site has a category structure, build backlinks to your category pages using long tail keywords in anchor like "buy jewelry for men". Also build links to your inner pages using product specific keywords.
gadgetguy is on the right track if you are looking for free, targeted traffic. Almost any technique to get traffic that you pay for declines or stops when you stop paying. Keywords work for you night and day, even when you are on vacation. Cheers
Get the on page aspects of your site right. Tags, titles, keywords, related keywords, images, URLs etc. Then get a few relevant links. Build slowly.
* First thing I will suggest you never go for link packages. Google will bury your blog. * Build more backlinks from relevant but quality sites for desired anchor text. Many sources have mentioned above. Important Tip: Google give more extra credit for blog who have interlinked properly. Properly interlinking your post are more valuable than backlink from other source. * In you blog footer section with copyright details don't forget add your desired Anchor Text of your blog.
i think blogging and article submission is the nest way to get backlinks and traffic to our concerned website.
Interesting... What do you consider overcharging? $50 for something that doesn't work? Or, $300 that gets you to the first page for your keywords? Article Marketing/Submissions is by far the best in my opinion... Along with some Press Release submissions.
