Most effective way to put adsense on a wordpress site

    Is there a better spot to put adsense ads then the posts. Like is there a way to put them on the side of the site.

    yes, you can put adsense on the sidebar. just use a text widget and add the code there. you can also put the code on the top of the index page or on the top of the single post

    Ok I just added the text widget, and all the other stuff on the sidebar went away. Were those all widgets that I have to add again.

    I normally insert the Adsense code into an appropriate location in sider.php. This is quite easy way to do so.
