I am looking for the cheapest way to get one of my sites up to a PR7,
I know its not an easy task, and that it requires a substantal amount of backlinks. I would like to pay someone else to do it. Has anyone had any luck working with linkbuilding services or are they all just fluff that takes your money?

Why don't you try a reputed SEO company instead ? They might cost more but you won't have to take the trouble of getting and checking the backlinks.

Depending on what type of budget you have you could do this yourself. That is if you are willing to invest.

SEO companies will offer you the world. If they say they can defo do it walk away.

If they say they believe they can do and present you with a report of how and so on and they are reputable then they are worth a shot.

PR7 - we all want and this is what we have set out to achieve for a few of our sites.

You say the cheapest way to do - I don't really think there is one unless you have patience in abundance!

check this out : seosentines.com . It has only a few backlinks links only . But what does the trick is links from high pr (6 , 7 even few pr 8 )sites .
With thousands and thousands of backlink of less pr may get you upto pr 5 or in max (rare case) pr 6 (obviously help you to get serp). But if you want to get pr 7 then link from high pr sites is must. - This comment is based on my experience .

Looking forward to what others say on this.
    Regards to you all.
    Thanking

Its good, I agree with you, you get faith from the Brand name and guarantee of the work. Company is bound to work properly with you, as they have policy to provide you. it may cost lil bit high but it works.

It doesn't really matter just about the amount of back links you have it whether or not Google considers you to be a trustworthy site. 101 factors come into that :D

get yourself listed in dmoz and yahoo directory. that could help. then get some company (there is one here on dp) that does great backlinks over time. They are a bit on the expensive side, but they seem to earn their keep.

buy links from the link sale section of DP: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=58

use the keywords you want to rank well for as your anchor text, and buy from high PR sites.

your site should start to appear in the search engines. If your site is useful, other people will find it and link to it, that will help you gain more PR.

On the next pagerank update, when your pagerank jumps up, do link exchanges with other sites of the same pagerank

    wash, rinse, repeat

of course i don't actually own a PR7 site, anyone who does want to share some insight?

Its not about the number of links but the quality of the links which really matters a lot. I've seen a few of my clients get a PR 7 while they had just 3-4 strong backlinks. It really depend on what your gonna try to do with the site.

From what i understand your just trying to build a site with PR and sell it.
In that case, interlink with a few PR 7 sites and wait till the update.

Your site is bound to hit a high PR and once the update goes through, do a few directory submissions or something else to bolster the backlink count a bit.

    I hope that helps...

The question you should really be asking is, "Will I get back my investment of time and money?"

PR 7 isn't going to make you any cash, in and of itself.

That's a great point Lexiseek. The bottom line is you can have a great Alexa rating and PR but if it doesn't make you any cash what good is it?

But surely it would be easy enough to sell som elinks on a PR 7 site, thus earning you some money right?
