Me too! And that's pretty rare. I don't like movies as much as most people. My mind wanders too much and I lose interest very quickly. Especially w/ the shit movies released "nowadays". Most new movies are just big commercials for some crap product! And they don't even try to disguise it. Anyone see Team America (World Police)?
Yeah Team America was OK, but a little too obvious for my taste. I like that kind of thing to be subtle.
I once had to (well, I thought I might get lucky!) sit through this: As I recall the dialogue was in Serbo-Croat, with helpful subtitles in Greek (I was in Thessaloniki at the time). The hours it went on and on seemed like days. Pure torture. The things we do for lust, ...er, love.
I really liked Kill Bill and part 2. I like Tarentino movies, especially the spaghetti westerns with Clint Eastwood. I thought KB & KB2 were done very well. The cinematography and the acting were first rate. I thought the story was well told. I did not like Hero as much because I thought the story was too slow but the imagery and the action was still great.
I don't even like the movie but everytime I'm in a Japanese restaurant I say "Would you like some warm SAKE?!
I have to agree with YFS1, the "filler" as it has been called, really helped tell the story. How sucky would it have been if she walked intot the bar and he said "would you like a sword?"? Suck-o-la if you ask me. Each section, "filler" or not, had importance to the overall story and making it believable. Thank god the gore wasn't believable, but the story of revenge sure was!
I did not see this one, so forgive my ignorance... What are you guys talking about "I like that kind of thing to be subtle"??? What "kind of thing" and what was the movie about? Please 'splain. Thanks.
It was a silly (pretty dumb) movie from the people that make South Park. Not really worth watching if you don't already know what it is.
Tradefor, that does look horrible. It looks like you were trying to score some art house chick, lol. I've seen some bizarre experimental stuff that is horrible as well.
Hodgedup I have had root-canals which were more fun than that flick. I am astounded it got even 1 Star out of 10 - perhaps the reviewer was/is a DMOZ editor?
yeah... kill bill is disgusting. but i actually liked it.. i must agree that oasis is definitely disgusting.
I know what you mean. I turned off to. I hate that Kill Bill shit. It doesn't help that I hate Uma 'I have a wierd face' Thurman too, though.
I think tarantino is a gifted director. I like most of the work he has done. I thought he did a good job on kill bill, and brought Uma Thurman back into the limelight. I mean, Kill Bill is certainly no Matrix, but for those wishing to see stylized martial arts mayhem, a cute japanese school girl with a morning star, and endless blood and fighting, it is a great movie. Kill Bill 2 is a little too much for me. Especially the part where the Monk ripped out the eyeballs of one of the main characters. Tesla
i guess none of you have seen the nude wrestling in Borat yet. could not watch but could not look away. edit. just noticed how old this thread was, sorry for dragging it up. have no idea how i came across it honestly.
