The million-dollar question. There about a zillion books, forums, blogs, etc. on the "best" ways to market online, free or otherwise. In fact, my main blog, "Improve Your Internet Marketing" (in my sig) is devoted to online marketing. If you aren't looking to invest in pay per click, you can market very effectively with article marketing, forum marketing, traffic exchanges, safelists, free blogs, and social bookmark sites. try to find a tool that indexes blogs and link building sites by traffic, rank, etc... knowing those statistics before you submit can save time, headaches, and even prevent total pagerank disaster.
