I suppose this could be considered a serious job offer for any folks out there willing to work for peanuts... but I think it is the funniest thing I have ever blogged about...

Keep in mind that the guy's budget is $1000...

BTW - If you are interested in this job... you can find it on Guru.com... ;-)

I would probably charge close to $1000 for #61 alone. What surprises me is that anyone who writes up such detailed specs you would think knows what he/she is talking about... and would have a clue on pricing. This guy is truly clueless...

While I agree the price is ridiculous, I bet if that "job" was posted on Get a Freelancer or Rent a coder it'd see a decent amount of bids :( even more so if there wasn't the Java requirement.

Wow... and no $ down advancement.
A lot of those are very picky and could be combined with other #'s, so it doesn't make the number of requests as lengthy.

Especially if it was PHP based - I think there are half a dozen shopping site scripts that with minor modification could meet his requirements.

Maybe not the "bug free", though - some scripts are bug prone.

Sad thing is I bet someone will take the job, then when the site isn't delivered as specified the customer will be posting whining posts all over the 'net about how they were scammed and how the 'net is overrun with rogues...
