Check this site and look at the right....

    http://www.clickfire.com/content/freearticles/

That color combination is crazy I was looking at the page for like 10 minutes and I couldnt read anything on the page those ads were just grabbing my eyes...but not in a way that I wanted to click on them it was more like a little child poking the side of my eye...I absolutely hate this sitre now I was actually seeing purple circles for a little bit after....

Do you'lll think its better to have an annoying ad like that or well blended ad?

For me I definetly like the well blend in ad I rather put out quality and build a clientel then make a couple dollars or so for having such an annoying ad....

    What you'll think

EDIT: PS The I just realized the ads colors change so it might be differen but it was Yellow on Aqua :( It was horrible...

Just turn on the tube... look at what runs month after month, year after year... and who is still around...
The car salesman in a bad suit, yelling at the camera...
The insurance agency with the stupid wild guy in a sportscar...
Any with a bad jingle or catch phrase... some with bad animations...

Annoying sells. Annoying gets remembered. Annoying makes money.

It really catches your eye. Maybe that's why they made it like that.

This is only true if you are selling to the General Public, not internet literate people, all the things you've stated is off the web advertising...

The truth is that the common public is stupid going by nothing but a subconscius impulse decision when it comes to buying so a salesman yelling at them is enough to get there attention and keep a stupid sound in their mind to remind them of the product, with out any remembrenance of it's quality...

However the Internet public is much different....I can gurantee that a person who is active on the internet and is even able to pursue and search for products on the internet is considerably smarter and thus picky about where and what to buy....on the web professionalism, trust, and word of mouth sell...not Billy Bob yelling "Yee Hah"...allthough onething that proves to sell universally to smart and stupid a like is.....

I bet that was the first word you saw in this post and most likely you would respond, but at the risk of being the common predicatble man you won't, or will you...like my Jedi mind tricks ;)?

Can you remember GoDaddy's superbowl ad with that smokin girl....damn let me catch my breath....well I know I was definetly caught in by that :) ... that was probably the turning point for that company before that I personally had never heard of it...

Anywayz that s my 2 cents...
