I have one of those Electrified Tennis Racket's. The loud crack when you hit one is very satisfying i must say.
you could try mosquito screens on your windows i know this works as its my day job ,here in spain. have a look at my site www.mosquitonick.ws nick
Here is what i did with my brother when we were young. take a plastic plate and put oil around it and swing it around the house. I was a monster in catching mosquitos.
I've got screens on my all my windows, but I think the little fckrs are coming up through the gaps in the floorboards, or through the aircon vents. I've never seen a decent looking mosquito net, but those square ones look ok. I've only ever seen the 'princess style' circular ones, and I'm not getting one of those... I'll have a look for a square one. Seems like the only option. I'm currently waking up with about 5 new bites (on my face!) each morning. It's not a pretty site. I'm certainly not going to swing an oily plate around
Try not to have small bodies of water near your house. Old buckets, water barrels etc. Even insides of old tyres. This is where the mosquitos hatch - remove their breeding ground, and you'll vastly reduce their numbers. If you have a water barrel, put a fish in it - that will soon get rid of any mosquitos there
Does this fall under the catagory of "human safe": cus mosquitoes sure as hell arn't gonna survive that!
Aside from using smoke, you might try to see if there are breeding places near your house, like cans with water, vase, other containers that has stagnant water, get rid of the water. For the vase, change the water everyday.
Try shutting all the doors and windows and go on a killing spree to eliminate as many as you can. It has the two pronged benefits of being a good exercise was well satisfying all your murderous fetishes... On a serious note though, wasn't there a ultrasonic sound devised that will keep mosquitoes away. It was popular a couple of years back when a lot of ppl around the world did experiment with it on their speakers.
In addition to your net, sealing the house is a good idea. I live in Florida, mosquito central. We have dogs so we can't use those pesticides or anything like that. What we ended up doing is superproofing the house. You said you have screens, I would recommend taping around the edges of the screens (between the screen and the window frame), because all it takes is one tiny mosquito to get in through that crack and lay eggs in your house. As for your floorboards, you can try laying rugs on your bedroom floor to hide some of those gaps. Also, try lining the vents that lead into your room with a fine mesh. Also, block your door. That one to two inch gap between the bottom of the door and the floor can cause a big issue with mosquitoes, so either block it with a towel or a blanket (make sure you shove it not only in front but also under the door). This way you secure your room as a mosquito-free zone. It might not solve the problem for your entire house, but will help your room. Also, if you can stand the smell and feel, there are repellents you can apply to yourself before you go to sleep (although they tend to feel greasy). Hope you find relief.
yeah i also have the same damn prob but i use the mosquitoes sprays to get rid of em but someday they ll get rid of me also...
Try garlic oil its proven to kill mosquitoes and their larva 100%! or prhythm oil or neem oil! A few Great organic methods and they work better than the synthetics!
We've got a pretty bad vampire problem here too, so maybe I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone Actually... I've had a few bats in my house in the last couple of months. So I probably shouldn't joke about vampires.
