    Hi guys.

i am willing to have more links backs to my website and follow are the few ways i am using, (we are a web design firm)

    1. commenting on do follow blogs.
    2. using forums signatures.
    3. Adding to a list of directories.

but this doesn't seems to have giving out the things we are looking for.

any suggestions and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

From my own experience link building is long process. It's important that websites from which you get backlinks are very related to your website and have almost the same or very similar interest. 1 backlink from related and quality website will give your website bigger impact that 10's of signature links from unrelated posts, etc..

so, you mean getting back links from related websites is important then anything else.

but yes... my concern is that we are into web design business and i know there are lot of blogs out there which can get me some quality back links.

but this process might take a longer time... because we submitted our site to around 2000 blogs a month ago and no change until now.

    Thanks!

If you used a submission service to submit to those 2000 blogs, then that might be your problem right there. Don't use bulk submissions services. They don't work, and can end up doing more harm than good.

I hate to tell you, but link building is a very long, tedious process. You need to acquire each and every backlink manually, making sure the link you are placing is on a very relevant, quality site, preferably with PR and without the no follow tag. Blog commenting, forum posting, article submission, social bookmarking, and paid reviews and text link advertising are going to be your best ways of gaining traffic.

Dedicate an hour per day to building backlinks, and writing articles. Shoot for 100-300 new quality backlinks per month, and try to sustain that growth for a couple of years.

ya... that's what i thought. slowly and steadily it would take us up!

but do you think those 2000 links might give any effect!

and how to figure out; what site to post the link to and what not.

I think if you used bulk submission services or software, then it is very likely that all 2000 blogs are in the same network, owned by the same person. Google has probably already marked them as a 'bad neighborhood', and it is extremely doubtful you will see any benefit from them at all.

    not at all.

i used seo-traffic-guide.de to find a list of do follow blogs and then i used a guy here in my office who did the submission manually.

if we do to www.backlinkwatch.com and look for backlinks for site http://www.jm-experts.com

it shows around 23746 backlinks and around 40% of them are good and do follow.

    what do you say?

Then that sounds a little better. But just becuase they show up in backlinkwatch doesnt' mean they will help in your Google SERPs. Backlink watch shows all kinds of backlinks, even the ones Google completly disregards.

In order to find out how many backlinks Google recognizes, you need to look in google Webmaster Central.

Even then, if the pages that your backlinks are on do not have PR value, then they will only provide very minimal benefit. For example, 2000 links on pr0 pages provides less benefit than 1 single backlink from a quality PR3 page.

ok so... now i think my work is to find a list of sites which might have good PR+ and then start commenting on it.

    is it?

Related sites that are do-follow, with good pr, both blogs and forums.

But I would give equal time to create unique articles, putting them in your blog, social bookmarking them on many different social networks, and submitting them to article directories.
