Of our traffic that comes from search engines, 45% of unique visitors come from Google and 32% from MSN. But when it comes to pageloads, those numbers are almost reversed, with 41% from MSN and 35% from Google. I can think of no good reason for this. Do others experience this? Have MSN and Google users ever been researched and shown to have different preferences, interests, etc.?
- Not as many MSN users know about the Back button on their browser - Many of those that use Google browse with firefox which has a Google search box built-in (quick and easy to do other searches (i.e. leave) from the page you are on)
Yes. You can find lots of that, for example: http://www.pewinternet.org/pdfs/PIP_Women_and_Men_online.pdf
