    Hi,

I check my traffic regularly on google analytics. A few days ago there are some strange changes going on. Google shows me that I have aroung 30% more unique visitors than actual visitors. How is that possible? Can somebody explain that to me.

I too have the same phenomenon. I think it might be because of your "brand name",ppl might have directly visited your site without any referral !

    Not really, not at all.

Analytics will track the visits against all pages analytics is installed on. However when a visitor is visiting a 403 forbidden page he is not being tracked in analytics however, he will be tracked by general apache logs and awstats/raw access etc.

    hence all the yada yada...
