    Hi,

We are runnig designgalaxy.net, desingload.net, procartoonz.net and logomaid.

Colleague of mine added all sites to dmoz, but they added just designgalaxy.net. They said they cannot added more than one site from the same company which has similar content. Not sure what does logomaid or procartoonz have similar to designgalaxy.

I know if you are not listed at dmoz you'll not go higher at google...

    Anything we can do?

    Cheers,
    Jan

well the only similarity i can see is that they are all down ;)

seriously though, i cant see the sites at them moment but from the name's i would guess they are all offering design services by the same company. Although the sites are all offering seporate services i guess the DMOZ editors might see this as a way to gain extra listings for the same company.

In my opinion this is no different to a hosting company having one site for budget hosting and one for high end dedicated servers. Or a package holiday company having a dedicated skiing site. But perhaps DMOZ would treat these the same way.

The only thing i can advise is that you head over to www.resource-zone.com and ask the editors.

If that dosnt work be greatful that you got a site listed at all, i've been in the SEO business for over 2 years and not got a single site in yet... :)

As for DMOZ being essential to Google rankings, i think it helps a little more than most links but it's not the end of the world if you dont get it. Many of my sites are awaiting listings but still enjoy great rankings on G

Yeah I have a number of high ranking google sites that aren't in DMOZ but it does help. Try submitting the other sites to different catagories and not using the same name/email as you did with the first one. Different editors in different catagories.
