More Right Wing voter intimidation: Rupert Murdoch threatens Governor Christie

In the most recent outrageous example of sheer voter intimidation, wherein business owners representing the Right Wing have written their employees telling them how they must vote, or placing threatening billboards in minority, lower income dominated regions we now have an example of one person violating an extraordinary public trust:

Rupert Murdoch, owner of Fox and all its affiliates, the Wall Street, Journal, the New York Post, and a host of smaller newspapers, threatened Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey.

Either reendorse Mitt Romney OR ELSE: http://www.salon.com/2012/11/03/murdoch_threatens_christie_re_endorse_romney_or_else/
There used to be tighter controls on ownership of media. The purpose was to eliminate these very threats to the public welfare. Media moguls have enormous power well beyond the norm. Rupert Murdoch's media empire in Great Britain was recently found to have violated every kind of privacy law imaginable. His reputation for staining the ethics and protections of the immense power of the media spans the continents.

Now he direct threatened a governor who is striving to take care of the people of New Jersey in the midst of an unprecedented crisis.

Simply one more in a long history of the Right Wing violating any semblance of an honest election wherein people are free to voice their own opinions.

Earl, I think the blinders are cutting off circulation to your brain again.. Hurry, loosen them up!!

Do you honestly think that Rupert had to "threaten" Christie to endorse / vote for Romney?

Pure comedy Earl. Murdoch's post wasn't a threat, it was a fact. Like most Republicans, I can get on board with Christie's frank praise of Obama for being non-partisan for the first time in four years, even if it was only for a photo op. Non-partisan behavior should always be praised. Now that we are in the closing days of this election cycle, it is important for Christie's long term future in the Republican party to reaffirm his support for Romney. Should Romney lose, which is still possible, Christie would likely be blamed.
