more quality link have no effect, i am confused.

i confused by a question for a long time. i create a new site www.wow-gold-provider.cn before about a month. i make a link(from dmoz listed site) for it.and it indexed by google and rank about #260 for "wow gold guide".so i make another 2 link(also from dmoz listed site), i hope it will go higher.but after 20 days, it still be about #260. what is wrong?

 

i doubt 2 or 3 links will make any major difference, just because they are from dmoz listed sites it dont make them special.

 

I think you are focusing hard on the quality links as you would have heard - quality is important than quantity but you still need to get a reasonable number of links - 2-3 links won't cut it with google

 

i know i need more links to rank well in google. but what make me confused is: 1 quality link make my site 260# in serp. but more 2 quality links should boost my site a little in serp.for example #200 or #150.but the two links have any effect. is it normal?

Yes, it is normal and it doesn't always work like that. the changes in serps has a lot of factors - your site age, niche, competition etc. to name a few

 

What you consider as "quality" by checking a site or by logic "it's in DMOZ" may be totally different from what Google considers as quality. I've seen 14 days ago someone got extremely good improvement in SERPs in two days by getting four PR7 backlinks, with PR7 beeing a single factor which influencec SERPs. No quality, no "related", no "age" or any other popular factor was on those linking sites.

 

You need a combination of high quality links and lower quality links. For example a few high PR links and a few thousand low PR links.

 

You don't have unique content. Cut and paste does'nt make for a good business model.

 

Try to create a content using your targeted keywords. Use your targeted keywords as anchor text in your link building campaign. Exchange links also on related sites.

 

May I suggest that you look at your site for errors (i.e. 'http://www.wow-gold-provider.cn/?m=200707').

Also, do a search on "site:http://www.wow-gold-provider.cn/". Then ask youself the question, "Does this content have importance and will someone link with me?"

Quality content gets Quality links.

As for ranking higher, may I suggest that you look at the home page's <title> and "meta description or first line". Fixing these might help.

 

your clients keyword may have less competition, and better on-page seo.

i agree that a couple of good backlinks can get you ranked high in the engines but it depends on how many others are also trying to target that keyword.

yes it can if it has a good keyword density.

 

your site is down. that never helps with rankings.

 

I check your site and I feel that it dont even have good metaphors
try to have good metaphors and then adjust the keywords
