Apparently its working since the websites of those SEOS are doing very good in the serps now For the love of god, and for the last time your tools have nothing to do with the value that your directory will delivere to your clients. (Traffic and better Serps for their websites) Matt cutts: More PageRank helps to get more crawling. source:http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/seo-advice-url-canonicalization/ get a SEO education then comeback to me and we can talk about what helps and what not. its crazy since the beginning of this thread you just keep assuming things that u have no clue about. 90% of the money is spent in the promotion not the coding (you are apparently obsessed with your tools ) and when u own 50+ directories then 1000's of dollars is a minimum to spend when you want to have quality directories, i really dont think that i overpaid, and am still re-investing %100 in the money that i get from directories in the promotion, traffic and backlinks again. it is exactly like i said, you can get thousands of irelevant links with your "website name" like you say, but u will never get the authority status, you need relevant links and links from authoritive websites to make your website an authority too. (and there is many other factors that we can discuss but those are the most important) once again you can have the best script, and as many awesome unique "tools" as u want, but that has nothing to do with Directories value (Serps + Traffic) u were the first to post a totaly irelevant answer to my post (i think this is what hijacking is about), Assuming things that you dont know about me and what i think, then attacked me personally, i never gave u any red reps and i have nothing against you, but since u asked me.. u got your answer.
hehehe, this is fun. I think people should realize that this QBC thing is an opinion-based thing. The question we should ask is how will he promote it? Can he promote it? The owner said he won't sell them, so I'm thinking, he must have a plan on promoting it and making it more attractive to users. Another question is how can he maintain that large number of directory? People are mouthing him off for creating a lot of directories, yet don't know if he has hundreds of people working under him. Another question is will it stay free to submit? I think all in all, the creator should speak up and not just say a few words. They say there's no such thing as bad publicity, but I don't want people ruining my reputation with such trivial things.
121603 you are exactly right. All I meant was that the website you listed to critique has nothing to do with someone starting dozens of duplicate directories on irrelevant domain names. You see it all the time, folks complaining about buying site-wides or featured links on directories that disappear in a few months, then they feel burned and won't buy again. Do you think it is more likely that a directory owner that builds one directory and spends money and time on a custom theme and a quality directory will go out of business in a few months? Or the guy that builds dozens of duplicate directories on irrelevant domain names with a grand total investment of $.99 on each one will go out of business in a few months time?
Mr Aviva, you create free scripts and put them out there for people to use. So back off. Either submit your link or move on to promote your own directory. Your only scared I might steal your traffic, but don't worry there is plenty to go around. I have several sites inside the top 100k sites in alexa rankings, I see you hanging in there are 9k, well done. I have a team of people. I intend for them to all have a free option to submit forever at this stage. I don't intend to sell them. I do intend to run them as long as I do continue to mess around on the internet. Started in 1998. I plan to have PR4-5 on all of them within a year. And for all of them to be templated within a year. I now also intend to write my own script because jg123 is pissing me off and the script I am using links to his site, better not to give him 70 PR4 or 5 backlinks. Have a nice day.
Oh, and I don't comment much cause I actually work hard at my sites, not waste my time posting about other people in forums
Sounds good toolz, I can't wait to appoligize to you, since you have a team working I guess we can expect to see results very soon.
Just curious who "Mr Aviva" is? I happen to run Aviva Directory, so this is an interesting question for me.
