    I thought you were going to give a choice of 2 businesses and ask us which was more profitable. But you haven't. Which businesses are you talking about, or have you just phrased the question badly and you want to know what the most profitable business in the UK is? HSBC do well.

    There is really Many ways to make money and there is always many window for all kinda business ,
    in term of profitable . if you are talking online . a smart business person would start a service .

    while many people look at a smaller circle in profit business that is consider profit from a percent base on a monthly income .
    but a business will look at how much profit it can make over all after the investment is made . and set not line limit for that busines or had set out to make the most out of it .


    a More profitable business in UK as i would advice and suggest would be .

    Healthcare .
    Debt management .
    Entertainment
    Service Lab for Bio test .

    The publicly listed companies should have their returns available online so you can check them. Private companies are harder to measure.

    When you talk about profitable are you referring to return on investment? or the straight pounds value?
    Its entirely possible that a very small company could be the most profitable but because of their niche it can't scale up to provide massive returns - but the ROI is still huge.

    Well it depends how much capital you have to start a business, skills other resources etc.

    Assuming you have little then I suggest either starting an agency, a dealership or some sort of web based business.

    An agency is a great one because you basically act as a middleman but for services so you don't get your hands that dirty and have the potential to make quite a lot of money.

    So you could be a recruitment agent for something niche, say chefs. You advertise for chefs get them on your books and then advertise that you have great chefs available....
