More Posts = More Traffic = More Revenue?

I have a blog and I look at alot of the bigger blogs on the web and I see that they make many posts over the day. Sometimes up to 15-20 posts per day.

Does posting this often increase traffic?
Then in turn increase revenue from Adsense etc?

I started of posting 1 post a day and have pushed it out to may 3 or 4 a day and there has been a minimal increase in traffic. Nothing exciting.

Will posting more per day help?

I have concerns I will run out of things to blog about!

It depends on the subject of your blog, if it's very information based 1 post per day is fine, however if you are reporting on current events or products you'd probably benefit from more than one post per day. Generally the more posts you have the more traffic you'll get especially from search engines.

Well the more posts the better you will do in the search engines which meens you will get more traffic. Some of that traffic may find your info nice and will post it on their site with a link to yours as the source.

I guess my brother and I need to do a lot more posting! I didn't realize people were posting multiple times each day. I appreciate this discussion. :)

Are most people posting on one blog several times each day?

Posting would certainly increase visitors but still it depends upon the subject of the blog as well . If you have a subject like love then it will need only one or 2 post a day while a technology blog needs to be updated when ever new Gadgets are out in market .

    Technically yes. Practically, not always.

The amount of traffic will depend on the quality of the posts and the niche in which your blog is. One good quality post a day is enough in some cases.

if you post a good quality and quantity at the same time, the visitor will increase significantly because google like fresh content, always updated,
just keep posting and wait until half month, you will see the different..

Many posts here indicated that good contents will attract more traffic. If one is accepting this wholeheartedly , just one good post will suffice.

The truth of the matter is that one needs to post a decent number of posts almost daily (manually using using automated posting software) to "alert" the search engines that the blog is "alive" resulting in more crawling activities by the SEs' spiders.

What is currently hot is obviously not to be ignored too - whether you like it or not. Apparently posts about Hamilton (F1) and that P H get a lot of eyeballs at the moment.

That is a fair assumption, however I suggest you do some link building too. Once you have a good base of content, 75% posting, 25% link building / seo is a good mix imho.

Actually, what works for me is :

Unique, quality, keyword rich frequent posts + on&off page SEO = good organic traffic ;)

Generally 1 post per day is good enough...

my favourite bloggers - pickthebrain, and stevepavlina post only 3-4 times a week
