More Pages or More Posts???

I am about to launch a WP blog. To get the most out of this site is it better to have more pages or more posts? Which will rank faster/better with google?

 

posts for regular entries and pages for what you think are important , rather read this

 

You only need pages for the kinds of things that you wouldn't put in a post, ie: pages for privacy policy, about, contact, things like that.
