Wouldn't it make sense that the more you write - and more pages you setup - and place adsense ads on them - the more chance of ppl clicking on ads? And the more money you make? Here's the deal - I work full time in the IT field, but have a part-time business doing SEO work for six clients. A year ago, I was just writing stuff about things that interested me - and I had Google ads up on these pages. I was averaging about a buck or two a day - nothing big. I got off track with my writing and started making money by offering my SEO services to others. However, with my full-time job and working part-time for my clients (and doing this for about a year) - I'm exhausted. I have thought about going back doing what I was doing part-time - writing for myself and making a few bucks off of adsense. So - going back to my original question - in theory - if a person puts up a lot of pages and websites and optimizes them correctly - this person will make some money off of adsense considering the odds. It seemed to work for me on a small scale. So would you guys agree that the more optimized pages that you put up - the more you make? If this is true - then why isn't everyone putting up thousands of pages to make a half way decent living off of adsense (or any other type of ads or affiliation programs)?
because no body wants to provide quality info, at least most of these noobs on DP won't. All they do is look for the quickest way to earn a few pennies. No body can create quality content, say 1000 pages, in a month. That's just unrealistic. Building up a quality site takes time.
It's thinking that won't make you any real money. Why? Because all that matters is not the quantity ... but the quality and your ability to drive traffic to the pages that matter. More pages and empty impressions can work against you. It's not about "chances" and it's not about "luck". You have to work to get people that have a direct interest in the products/services on the advertisements to take an action. More pages and more content means nothing if the content isn't spot on with the user intentions. Over and over I see this flawed thinking. I'll just make 1,000 sites that make a dollar a day. But these people are unable to make big money because they lose focus on what matters and that's PEOPLE. So focus your efforts on creating value for the people and you'll make money. You don't need 1,000 sites. You need quality sites that get visited. Besides unless your site has value in the eyes of Google all you'll get is a couple of pennies per click.
If your pages are getting traffic then yes, the more you create the more cash you will get in return. The reason everyone doesn't do it is because it's one thing writing an article and adding a n Adsense block but it's another getting people to actually read it. Traffic is the hard part. However, you say you do freelance SEO work so it's sounds to me that you have the know how and ability to get that traffic! Give it a try!
I'm not saying that I'm going to put up crap. I want to put up stuff that I enjoy writing about - it will mostly be personal experience.
