Hi guys, My site has been going for about ten days now and i'm getting about 8 people a day to it. I think i've done quite well with submitting it to directories and swapping links e.t.c.. - i had a marothon session yesterday of submitting it to keyword related directories- anyway, i was just wondering how long it usually takes to start seeing the results from this kind of work. Are we talking weeks or months? Shit, i just realised that i'm probably posting in the wrong topic area! Any anecdotal stories would be much appreciated. Thanks James
Week, months or even years... It all depend on your dedication. 10 days is nothing...just try to constantly improve your page. Make it more and more interesting for your visitors and don't become discouraged....
www.neurophase.com I intend to develop this site and its links continuously. Can you give me an example of one of your sites, how long its been going and what volume off traffic you are commanding on it at the moment
I found that getting from zero to 100 visitors per day was the hardest thing. Since breaking that threshold things have moved on nicely ever since. As has already been mentioned I believe the key to be dedication, perserverance and above all else, patience.
It takes long, my friend. I started my website as a blog, having anywhere between zero and five visitors. I wrote some good articles that featured in big websites, so I got huge attention. Now i have around 600 visitors a day. And trust me, I'm making next to nothing compared to the other guys in this messageboard The money I get from Google pays for stuff like taking the girlfriend out for dinner and PS2 games, but that's it.
Yea it takes a lot of time to build a lot of traffic. Once you hit the 100/uniques a day word of mouth can do the rest of the work but it is tough.
