    whine
    • To utter a plaintive, high-pitched, protracted sound, as in pain, fear, supplication, or complaint.
    • To complain or protest in a childish fashion.

    whiner

    • a person given to excessive complaints and crying and whining.

As you are aware, I didn't whine even when the editors were just registering in this forum to launch personal attacks on me, so I suppose you have to guess again.

The same can certainly not be said for certain DMOZ admins and editors, though, can it?

Any explanation why the site that is mentioned in the beginning this thread, is still listed 22 times with the same page template that all redirecting the user to the same spyware remover site, after DMOZ has been informed about this problem for so long?

I think you had the answer here, gworld.

Either that or it's just another example of the doomed dinosaur that is DMOZ, once again moving so slowly under the weight of its guidelines and committees, the sheer mass and inertia of it all so great that it can no longer keep up even to feed itself.

I looked at 3 of the sites at random and they seem to lead to pix as per the descriptions.

    1) all the 22 listings are more or less the same template. These are not sites but pages from the same domain.

    2) click on enter in any of these 22 listings and you will end up in

    www(.)removespywarenow(.)com

which has nothing to do with porn and is selling the spyware removal program. DMOZ has provided this site with 22 doorway pages.

Yeah, that's why they don't approve our sites.

As you well know this is consistent with the adult guidelines. The policy allowing listing such as this is controversial. But these listings do not seem to be abusive. But I am not an adult editor, and I could be wrong.

When I click on "ENTER GALLERY 1" I get the content.

You might be surprised how little impact DP (and similar forums) has on the ODP.

Recently a number of posters here have been approved as editors which sort of contradicts your conspiracy theory.

By content you mean couple of low quality pictures that can be found anywhere.

Click on any enter button, the big ones that everyone can see and not small gallery buttons and it takes you to the spy-ware removal site. If they tried to list this site in shopping under software, it would only get 1 listing and most likely not even that but thanks to adult editors, it has the minimum of 22 doorway pages.

This is the same type of abuse that was happening with phone sex listings as previously mentioned here. The question is why such abuses are tolerated and the only answer to any criticism always is: corruption is accepted practice in adult section.

which is true, but going to the main onlinexxxhq-site one can easily reach those free galleries one by one. From there on I am missing any reasonable explanation for giving them 22 listings.

I feel like I am talking to a brick wall. I know it is a waste of time continuing but I have come this far. Abusive editors get removed from adult just like any where else in the directory. If an editors main purpose in editing appears to be adding sites that they are affiliated with then they will be removed. If that were the case with these listings that you have got your knickers in a tangle over then that editor would be no exception.

I think you know who the editor is, don't you? The phone listings were obviously abusive, was the editor removed?

LOL, the explanation is called, affiliate marketing which is the cause of majority of deep links in adult section.

To help the senior editors and admins to define the site hook and hookers.com, it does not belong to business it belongs to adult. Like brizzie said, EASY.;)

It is interesting that despite all the claims by DMOZ editors about quality control and other blah, blah... the sites mentioned in the beginning of this thread are still listed after more than 1.5 year.

It makes you wonder how can some one gets so lucky to have so many one page doorway affiliate page listed, especially when even the enter link on the page is deceptive and not as described.
