when you go to google.com its SIMPLE, but then again I think if google did what yahoo is doing such as doing headline stories in their front page and etc... google that way would rank #1 spot site in the world!

 

Google's minimalist strategy seems to work well for them. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I say.

 

Google is doing good and I am very much helped by them. I've observed that they have much to offer each day and still looking forward for more of it.

Yes, Google has its own originality. So even if Google won’t do headline stories in their front page just like what yahoo is doing, Google still rank as number one. Anyway, Yahoo is a good search engine too.

 

I do like the fact that they don't seem to be trying to stuff their frontpage with crap. I also like the fact that I don't get distracted by something else on the frontpage when I am searching.

 

Yes, see Chrome as well, it has minimistic design... and is fast & free! So this is google's core strategy..

 

Google keeps it's homepage free of all clutter, that's the distinction with it.

google is simple and the simplicity and ofcourse the powerfulness of this search engine make it strong..
