So I've been searching around and couldn't find anything, but I'm wondering is there a way to get a better CTR via google (the actually results) I know this might sound weird but say I'm in position three and get 200 clicks/day for a search term. Is there any proven ways that I could change my Title + Description in a way to get more clicks from the results? If anyone is interested please respond and maybe we could do some tests, or if there's a thread like this already please direct me to it. Thanks!
Interesting article here http://massa.techndu.com/CommentView,guid,59dbb266-0afd-45a1-8e24-6cd42b4ba38b.aspx#commentstart about how titles and descriptions can get more clicks. I think of my description, in particular, as a little advert. of course, that depends on google using your meta description as the snippet, which they don't always, and is out of your control.
Your description should be a call to action. Make it something that will peak people's interest and make them want to click on your site. This is really important if you are on the first page of a search term. People click on the first link then start skimming links 2-10 to see if anything meets their criteria. So make the call to action match the keywords where you rank.
i agree your view, but the frequence of your change meta should not be to heavy, or else the ranking will be pernicious influence
That will be a good goal to focus, but might be hard for just "a search term", target more search terms.
