More clicks = less earnings per click

Anyone else noticed this? It's starting to piss me off a little bit. It seems that every time I put up Adsense on a new site when there isn't that many clicks my payouts are higher. Once the clicks start picking up my earnings drop. One of my sites I was earning an X amount and now that my clicks have doubled I'm still earning the same X amount some days even less, it's ridiculous. I don't think it's smart pricing either because my other sites are consistent.

If my clicks aren't converting it should effect me across the whole account but it doesn't seem to. It's just frustrating because it makes me wonder if maybe I should focus on dropping my CTR although it isn't very high anyways. Looking forward to YPN I guess (although their ad relevancy doesn't even compare).

Yes sir I have noticed that.

it seems like no matter what I get pretty close to X amount. even if I have half or double the clicks. i don't' get it. like when I start to reach that amount pay per click drops down so I get diminishing returns
