Hi guys. Recently I read somewhere that the more links you have to a page the higher its pagerank will be when it updates. But say you had a PR5 index page. Say that index page linked to your sub pages, would they then have a higher PR? So if I concentrate on links to my index page will I start to see more and more keywords bringing me in traffic on my smaller pages? Thanks guys!
ys more back link help u in ranking and traffic but it should be from relevant places and good informative place

i think that the page rank is for one page and not the oveall site. but if you get high page rank to the home page you will get traffic for the main keywords and this is your goals
Millions of backlinks doesn't equate to high PageRank (PR). It will probably equate to high search engine rankings though.
Quality and relevant backlinks will increase your pages SEO and PR. If you want your sub-pages to have high PRs that's a possibility as well, but assuming your site is just one niche you really don't need it. With a high PR on your main page google will index your smaller pages and, depending on what they are, in time they'll get their own PR. Again, this isn't necessary by any means.
It is easy to get PR with very few backlink, but it is not so easy to get search engine rank even if you have loads of backlinks. Its my personal experience. I have already gained almost 15000 backlink on my blog, my blog have PR3, but I can not get the search engine rank for my expected keyword. Most of my competitor have less backlink than me, but they are on top. I can not still distinguish the reason.
