OK so for a few months now i have done the following marketing work, however have found i have nearly run out of the basics to work on: Submit articles to article directories - dozens submitted, still adding a few every week Blog commenting - have commented on all the main blogs in my niche classified ads posting - ongoing Submit site to website directories - submitted to loads of directories already Built an email opt in list Forum commenting - still regularly post Press releases - 2 achieved so far Social bookmarking - bookmarked with all main sites Built squidoo lens, hub pages etc pointing to my site - done on all main web 2.0 sites Link requests from relevant sites - built many links, but have now contacted all the sites i can find related to my niche The above strategies are the main things you read in internet marketing forums, and related blogs. I have pretty much competed all this stuff, other than ongoing work like forum posting and classified ads. What more advanced sort of work can i move on to now? The results of the above have been great, but i want to continue my efforts. The classifieds and forum commenting only takes a couple of hours per day. What other things do you guys do?
Create face-book pages of your product. Create twitter and stumble-upon DO some yahoo answers with your links in Source in relevant niche. Best of Luck
That is great you are getting some decent results. Now is the time to test and see which method works the best, and then hammer that method the most.
In addition to all these, you can create a video and then do video marketing. For this purpose, you can use the site called tubemogul.com which uploads your video to several other video sites.
seo or learn jv or build membership site or outsourcing. these are all the topic for advanced internet marketer. there's 1 marketer call david cavanagh. he have workshop to teach advance strategies. not like many guru who only teach the same old thing and treat everybody like a newbie. u can also learn to build twitter follower and start twitter marketing. may i know how long time you start doing internet marketing? you are so hardworking.
mmmm, this road sounds familiar. Your best option as louiselouise said, is to build your product and focus on keeping you current traffic and returning traffic. A quality website will outlast anything. Why i said this sounds familiar is because i too was on this road. I then moved my whole site from adsense and affiliates to a quality product. Was worried at first, but was the best choice i made. I tripled in traffic, lowered my bounce rate and have a fantastic project that i turned into a full time business, with 6 staff members. Build a quality site. the traffic will then look after it self. Word of mouth and the input of 10000 of users is greater than 1 individual doing marketing.
thanks for the replies. Yes it was a lot of work to get to this stage, but it was encouraging seeing my site move up in SERPS for all search engines, and to see the traffic increasing. What has suprised me most is how much traffic you can get from sources OTHER than search engines. Only about 1/3 of my traffic is from search engines. I will give video marketing a go, and also try out facebook and twitter.
I think you have done it very well, maybe you still need some time. Please be more patient. It needs some time for you to see a good result of your promotion.By the way,you may try ppc is you like.
When doing link building, it does require sometime before you can see results of your hard work. Here is a suggestion for you, why not try doing a link wheel.
