Say I have 100,000 weight. Say I created five ads with a weight distribution of 20,000 each. Would that get more exposure than one ad with the whole 100,000?
Weight is weight .. it'll eventually make its way onto the coop network. From and SEO perpective it would be more feasible to have more than one ad with different link anchor texts.
heh, when all this is over I'm going to post something about all my experiences. But from what I've done/seen/experienced you can have a lot more weight, and no pr and not get dumped...If you do it right. Back on the original question. I remember Shawn saying the more weight you have the more chance there is of your ad being picked. But I was wondering if I put more ads in the pool then it would give me more chances, numbers game....? I'm not saying flood the network with loaaaads of the same ad. As I said, 4 ads or 1 big one???
I swear on my kids lives. I don't know what anyone is talking about in too much too quick too soon blah blah. I've turned 7 figures of weight on overnight and not had problems, ranking high within ~10 days. I'm not saying problems may exist. But for me it's 60% having the right domain and 40% the weight... However very very recently the rules seem to be changing....I can only talk about my own experiences.
Case in point.... I just started doing this co-op stuff late last year, so I don't know what Google would of done a year ago. I've got one site banned just from the co-op, and it only took this.... to get banned.
Just co-op? Do you beleive it's a manual penalty or algo? Big keyword? google.com? I'm not saying you're wrong, but if g are banning on links then that is a wrong move, clearly we both then have the power to get anyone banned. Nasty... Oh, also what date was it banned, out of interest?
About the middle of March. Google themselves have said they ban sites from geting too many sudden links. er...checks again....This is nuts....now it's back with the PR back!!!! It was a site in a SEO Contest, redscowl-bluesingsky.net. I also had another site lose it's PR 6 and it's listing...and now that's back, but hasn't got it's PR 6 back...yet.
Not in print. From Matt Cutts, on WebmasterRadio. Though http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/002925.html says
er....I'm a little low on weight right now!!!!! I only have a measly 503,185 of weight, with around 9,000 of that from Referrals. If any one's interested, I can make it so any one can have a page just like that, with all the links pointing to your DP refer URL.
